Peak District Survival School staff have a range of life experiences. That’s not to say we are old, just have lived interesting lives.  Life experience has led to study and qualifications in the outdoor environment and this has in turn led to our accreditations, licenses and endorsements. These are as important to us as they are to you, ensuring that you know our people, provision and processes are being assessed by the relevant governing bodies in the UK. Coupled with this is our continued use of quality outdoor insurance to cover all aspects of our provision.

Our provision endorsements include the following

  • Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) quality badge
  • Adventure Activities License (AAL)
  • Education Visitor Coordinated (EVC) trips
  • Combined Cadet Force (CCF) activities registered, CCF database of approved providers
  • North Council Further Education (NCFE) Accredited Courses

Combined Cadet Force CCF

You can find CCF contingents in over 500 secondary schools spread around the UK. The CCF offers young people a range of challenges, opportunities in various settings including adventurous, educational and outdoor settings.

The aim is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline.

Each CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence, and a CCF may include Royal Navy/Royal Marines, Army or Royal Air Force sections.  We deliver a range aspects of fieldcraft, camouflage and concealment, tracking and a range of CCF curriculum stands.

We also provide:

  • Climbing, roped climbing on natural rock
  • Caving, in some of the countries natural cave systems
  • Hill Walking,
  • Navigation, ranging from micro nav, to mountain navigation and NNAS

We can deliver activities on most Military training camps:

  • Nesscliffe,
  • Swynneterton,
  • Halton etc,

Or organise, day, overnight, multi day camps away from barracks in various wilder locations including:

Peckwood, Worcester/ Bromsgrove camp

Rangemore, Burton on Trent

Sealbrook Wood, Burton on Trent

Duke of Edinburgh DofE

We can offer Staffing to complement your program be it a school, youth group or other local group. We will work with you to help your groups have the experience of a lifetime while working through the Bronze, Silver and Gold programmes.

Whilst you maintain ownership of your programs, equipment and transport organisation we can take the stress out of staffing to the highest quality.  This could be for a weekend, training session or full DofE program. This enables you to keep control. Your group keeping your program, designed by you to fit your timescale and budget. Servicing the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Above all, we specialise in providing staff, and servicing exceptional expeditions that not only meet the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) guidelines but are also fun fulfilling adventures for everyone taking part! Including school staff, the dog and family.
