Our differing school provisions are key to enabling all to access the outdoors.

We have specialised in delivering curriculum linked and aligned national curriculum outdoors. This means you have a choice in type, topic, cost and time of year that suits you.

We work in partnership with teacher’s pre delivery to ensure our lesson plans are aligned with your learning outcomes, therefore can then evidence learning for you and your class. The delivery content is led by you.

By using your school grounds you save money, increase learning hrs, and children concentrate better in familiar surroundings helping them to remember the practical content and learning.

1. Immersion days

These are specialised days where we bring the curriculum to life. For example if it were a Great Fire of London day we align our lesson delivery with learning outcomes agreed with teaching staff and evidence outcomes in several different ways. The days can vary depending on your needs and your class.

We offer a range of days including:

Great fire of London
Water Cycle
Habitats
World War 1 and 2
Vikings
Stone age
Plants and trees
Seasonal change
Life cycles
Geography curriculum

2. Short provision

These are specialised sequenced days where we bring the curriculum to life through a term of half term depending on your topics. For example seasonal change can and is being delivered for 4 days throughout the year, highlighting Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

We are also delivering animals and habitats as a year round re delivery program highlighting hibernation, reproduction, predator and prey. The short provision enables us to align our lesson delivery with learning outcomes agreed with teaching staff for short mid and long term learning and evidence outcomes in several different ways.

These programs are scheduled for between 4 and 10 days per year spread out across the year. Topics include all of the above.

3. Annual Provision

Year round provision is intended for our partnership to grow, we identify a lead member of staff as a point of contact.  From there we build a weekly provision one day per week, two classes per day.  We fit the lessons into a typical school day and use your site for delivery, bringing all equipment, resources and staff (2 per day). Typically teaching staff use this time for PPA, whereas a teaching assistant would be in attendance with the class.

Each half term classes rotate and by year end everyone has had half a term each.  The key to this provision is aligning the best topics with the outdoor practical delivery.  However having years of experience pays dividends as we can help with this to.

We have over the years delivered and work on most schools topics but can’t guarantee we can cover everything outdoors.

4. External Visits (EVC)

External Curriculum Visits are typically costly, have a short day, and a nightmare to co-ordinate.

The balance is work/ risk VS benefit. Unless we sort the hard work for you.!

For example: River studies are being delivered by our staff driving school minibuses.  This enables pupils to leave school early, engage in a longer learning day, no costly coach hire, and we provide the risk assessments for your EVC. And we are part of the instructional equation.

External Visits can include:

Lud’s Church walk and similar
Roaches visits
Caving/ Mine exploration
Scrambling and weaselling
Pond studies (Tittesworth)
Geography provision
City, Town and village studies
River studies
Fossil studies
And more
