Description

Level 1 is predominately horizontal, with no particular hazards, with some short rope, ladder systems.

Level 2 moves on from level 1 and covers vertical rope, ladder work, therefore increased hazards, technical rope work and rescue.

Depending on the course you book courses can be run from a full Level 1 Cave and Mine, a full 3 days, with plenty or practical application in the environment we are passionate about.

The highest quality training Is my aim, I always have a telephone conversation with each candidate before they enrol and register on a course. This enables them to identify if they have the required prerequisites and experience to get the most out of this leadership
training.

All National Governing Body training courses should cover during the training course: the technical skills of party management, safety techniques with and without ropes, emergency scenarios, suitable equipment, leader responsibilities, conservation ethos, access legalities, basic geology and hydrology and many other vital areas of the syllabus.

Both Training Courses ‐ Levels 1 And 2

The minimum requirements are 2 days (16 hours) for each course. At least 6 hours should be spent underground.

Trainer/Assessors may take into account appropriate vertical rope work qualifications held by candidates and reduce the duration of Level 2 training courses e.g. Mountain Leader Training Board, (Mountain Instructor Assessment).
